Printed Shrink Film Costs

You’re excited due to the packages and products that come with printed shrink film, and you’ll know from this that the products are not only pretty, but they look good. You’re ready to finally pull the plug and purchase this, but the big kicker is the costs, which you don’t’ know.

You may wonder what you’re going to pay, and the problem is, you check online, but there is no specific number resulting in frustration. What are the costs of this? Well, you’re ready to find out, and here, we’ll go over what the cost of printed shrink film is, and how it factors into all of this.

How Much Is it?

The question is not all that simple, which is why for many, finding this information can be a struggle. But here’s an average cost for this, usually, it’s based on the impressions that are there. You’re paying for impressions, which is a fancy word for packages. These prices are based on 1000 different impressions, so some minimums do apply here, and usually, the cost is anywhere from $240-500 for about 5K impressions alone.

Quality is a big factor in this, so if you want to get something good, you may want to pay a little bit more. There are vendors who don’t offer good packaging, but they are cheaper. Sometimes, you can get it for a much higher amount but lower price.  If you choose to get 100K impressions, for example, you will notice that it can be cheap, and usually, there’s a fluctuation that comes with this. The printed shrink film offers a major range of elements that help affect the cost of it in total, which is why it’s not easy for a total price.

Before you complete the order of this, you do need to offer the design and the colors. You’ll offer samples, which bring about printing plates, and the samples are then run, but that’s done before the approval happens finally. The process does require some money and time upfront, and if you want to have different designs, you will have to pay for more colors, especially beyond the base of this, regardless of the SKUs that are there. Once accepted, the elements that’ll change the total costs do vary it.

Variants of the Costs

The biggest thing to understand is that the printed shrink film ode shave fluctuations based on the resin market changes. They usually last about eight or so years, and if you do not use this for a period of time, you’ll have to pay for them to be redone, and once they expire, you’ll have to buy new plates. You also should factor in the costs of colors too, since if you have something with lots of different colors in place, it can lead to higher costs. On the flip side, something a bit more subdued will, of course, result in a lot lower of costs as well.

You probably will also want to check the distributors too. Remember, some places may charge less, and that’s because their quality tends to suffer too, which will, in turn, affect the overall outcome of the product too. The best thing to do is to check the distributors and the manufacturers, and also talk to people to learn a bit more about the purchase as well. Speaking to packaging experts is one of the best ways to get printed shrink film, even if you don’t think it’s worth buying from one vendor or another. Take your time, and chop around for this, since it can benefit you immensely.
