Using QR Codes With Packaging

A big thing that some people have started to do is use QR codes with their packaging, and it’s something that’s great for many people, and over half of the consumers can get more details through this. They’re a valuable asset, and here, we’ll discuss what QR codes in packaging are, and why more and more people are looking to utilize them.

What They Are

QR codes are basically a tool to communicate information in a quick and very simple manner, especially for those who want this type of information right away. The cool thing about this, is you can even use this too to get information from customers. They don’t have to remember a website or click on some links. They just scan it, and then, there they are. some of the things that you can do with this include:

  • Get feedback

  • Social media promotion

  • Additional information about the product

  • Offer better connections to customers

They’re great for adding packaging value and helping you get a better, more rewarding experience from the packaging that you have. You can also add other types of additional information, including the following:

  • a map showing the business location

  • any documents for people to read

  • some surveys and event registering so they can do it all on their phone

  • other products so that they can buy more if they like it

  • sales and promotions that they can scan and use.

  • Business cards and other items.

How to use The

QR codes work in different ways. You can use QR codes on the primary packaging for starters to give some valuable information including warnings, facts about the product, and even details about the manufacturing and expiration, in a way that’s appealing. You can also attach video and other types of media to this, so they can engage with it whenever they want to find out more information.

Some people like to keep the information on this relevant to the product alone, and may forgo social media QR codes, as they usually sit right next to the product itself, and usually come in a variety of different materials.

Secondary packaging goes over this. This is of course the container that everything comes in. This one is great to use what's called a dynamic QR code, and this embeds information, and it comes with different information, and maybe other cool videos and means to use products.

Finally, we’ve got the tertiary product packaging, which is where it’s delivered directly to the doors, and it’s used to transport the items that are there. it shows the company guidelines, the branding itself, and also any other information such as returns and refund policies that might be there too.

Marketing this

The coolest thing about QR codes is that they’re a natural marketing tool. They’re great for standing out in a sea of people who don’t, and this can get people curious about you.  You can offer quick information about who you are, so they just need to do one quick google search to find you.

Plus it’s a way to naturally target the correct audience. For instance, if you have a certain audience, if it’s in the range of others, it can get them curious, to the point where they click on this, and it creates opportunities right away. Finally, with all of this, it boosts engagement, as you can even set this up to get feedback or interactions on social media. Simply put, QR codes are a necessity for people and brands, and you should start using them today!
